Woolmark and Shima Seiki developed tailored clothing using knitted fabrics instead of traditional woven cloth. The double-face construction combines a Merino wool layer with a second layer knitted from CoatYarn's TPU Evolution yarn, balancing a firmer form with elasticity and softness.

A solvent-free heat-vapour treatment laminates the materials together. The collection includes coats, trousers and dresses, showing how machine selection, yarn combinations and bonding can create structured garments without relying on the conventional relationship between woven outer fabric and a separate lining.
