Lenzing's Indigo Color technology incorporates indigo pigment directly into TENCEL Modal during fibre production. The one-step spun-dyeing approach places colour in the material before it becomes yarn and fabric, offering another route to the blue appearance associated with denim.

The company reports improved colour fastness relative to conventional indigo dyeing and worked with partners including House of Gold on early applications. The process changes coloration rather than defining one compulsory weave, leaving manufacturers scope to select suitable yarn and fabric constructions.
