A collaboration between Lenzing and OceanSafe combines TENCEL Lyocell A100 with naNea co-polyester. The partners introduced the yarn through a sportswear capsule, using the regenerated cellulose component for softness and moisture control while the co-polyester contributes endurance, tear strength and quick-drying behaviour.

The example shows why performance blends cannot be understood by reading only one fibre name. Each component has a defined role in the yarn and fabric. Claims about biodegradation or recyclability also need their stated conditions and product scope rather than being assumed for every finished garment using the blend.
